The European Economic and Monetary Union and its Likely Impact on Africa

Dr. Salim visited Lagos, Nigeria to deliver the 1990 Guardian lecture which took place at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Victoria Land on June 19.  

While in Nigeria, on June 20, Dr. Salim met with General Olusegun Obasanjo, with whom Dr. Salim had a great understanding and personal friendship. Their discussion focused on the UN Secretary General race, which Obasanjo was interested in contesting for.
