Speech in Honor of UN Secretary General Javier Perez de Cuellar

United Nation Secretary General, Javier Perez de Cuellar, embarked on an official visit to Tanzania in February 1983. In his speech, Dr. Salim touched on the deteriorating international situation, increasing East-West tensions, and growing inequality in the international economic relations. Dr. Salim spoke about the invasion in Lebanon; Iran-Iraq war; apartheid South Africa.
