"The women of Africa, who have played such an important role in our liberation struggles as well as in our social and economic development, have to be fully involved in our societies today. It is important that we overcome the social and systemic prejudices which have relegated women in our societies and which have socially established norms which work against the process of the integration and empowerment of women.
