During his tenure as Prime Minister, which was less than one year, Dr. Salim took time to visit a number of regions across the country. These trips included but were not limited to crossing the Rufiji River on a pontoon into Lindi Region; Kitere Village in Mtwara Region; Kasulu District in Kigoma Region; and Masasi District.
