The Death of Dr. Salim's Mother in Law
In July 1972 while serving as Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Dr. Salim's mother in law (Muzne Rifai) passed away. The below correspondences between Dr. Salim and Ambassador Paul Rupia capture the days prior to the loss of his mother in law and how communications with diplomats abroad from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dar es Salaam were conducted.
